Instructions for Avocado Dressing No Oil

  1. Prepare the Avocado:
Start by peeling and chopping the ripe avocado. To ensure creaminess, choose a perfectly ripe avocado with a slightly yielding texture. Place the chopped avocado into a mixing bowl.

2. Chop the Herbs:
Finely chop a vibrant mix of fresh herbs like basil, parsley, and tarragon. The combination of these herbs adds a medley of flavors that complement the richness of the avocado. Add the chopped herbs to the bowl with the avocado.

3. Add the Scallion:
Thinly slice the scallion and incorporate it into the mixture. Scallions not only provide a mild onion flavor, they also enhance the overall taste of the dressing.

4. Zesty Lime Juice:
Squeeze two teaspoons of fresh lime juice into the bowl. Lime juice not only adds a tangy kick but also prevents the avocado from browning. It also keeps the dressing vibrant and appealing.

5. Season to Perfection:
Season the mixture with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences, keeping in mind that the flavors will meld as the dressing sits.

6. Mix Thoroughly:
Using a spoon or whisk, mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Ensure that the avocado gets mashed and incorporates smoothly into the dressing, creating a creamy and uniform texture.

7. Make it Creamy (Optional):
Add 1/4 cup of mayonnaise to the bowl. Mayonnaise serves as the creamy base for the dressing, creating a smooth and luscious texture.

8. Serve and Enjoy:

Once the dressing is well mixed, it’s ready to be drizzled over your favorite salads. Whether it’s a simple green salad, a hearty grain bowl, or a refreshing summer salad, this Avocado Dressing No Oil will elevate the flavors and make your meal truly special.
