A Big Mac Salad that Captures the Essence of the Beloved Sandwich

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Ground Beef: Lean ground beef serves as the base of your salad, providing a satisfying protein source that mimics the taste of a Big Mac patty.
  • Special Sauce: The secret to the Big Mac’s distinct flavor lies in its special sauce. You can make your own by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, and a dash of white vinegar.
  • Lettuce: Crispy iceberg lettuce provides a refreshing crunch and a bed for the rest of your ingredients.
  • Cheese: Sliced American cheese brings creaminess and that signature cheesiness to your Big Mac Salad.
  • Pickles: Dill pickle slices add a zesty, tangy kick to your salad.
  • Onions: Thinly sliced onions offer a subtle bite that balances the other flavors.
  • Sesame Seeds: Sprinkle a few sesame seeds on top for that classic Big Mac bun texture and taste.
  • Optional additions: You can also add diced tomatoes and crispy bacon bits to enhance the flavors further.

  • Assemble the Salad: In a large bowl, start with a generous bed of iceberg lettuce. Add the cooked ground beef, then drizzle the special sauce over the beef.
  • Toppings: Top the salad with American cheese slices, dill pickle slices, thinly sliced onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. For extra flavor, consider diced tomatoes and crispy bacon bits.
